Ocean City residents/property owners may obtain a free library card by providing proof of residence or ownership of property at the circulation desk located on the first floor of the library. Children 14 and under must have a parent or guardian's signature on the application card. Please bring an acceptable I.D., which includes a valid N.J. driver's license, tax bill, voter's registration, major utility bill, or phone book listing.

Veterans, active duty military personnel, and their immediate families are eligible for a free one-year membership. Please bring a current military ID along with proof of address.

Students attending one of the three Ocean City School District schools are eligible for a free one-year membership, regardless of residence. Please bring a student ID, report card, etc..… and proof of address.

Employees of the City of Ocean City or the Ocean City School District are eligible for a free one-year membership regardless of residence. Please bring a copy of a paystub along with proof of address.
